i am happiest when i am putting my creativity to work.
so naturally, i am loving redecorating right now.
i have been giving away a lot of stuff that we got for wedding gifts and really focusing on my own design style. i have a different style than most. i love contemporary, sleek design. but i also love antiquity. top it off with a little glam, and a lot of funkiness and voila...you have lauren-style. i love to be surrounded by design that inspires me.
i am working on my bathroom right now, and i am so excited about it.
i based my color scheme off the las vegas juicy couture boutique.
gray walls, black, white and light pink accents.
i love juicy couture's interiors. they are so lovely and sooooooo my style.
the zebra carpeting is all kinds of amazing. as is the pink armored dude.
i love a bit of randomness that makes people think you are weird.
i love the hung ribbons on the wall. so charming...
of course i am obsessed with their use of apothecary jars everywhere.
a touch of kitsch. whoever designs for them is soooo my people.
i think i want to use this idea and write something on a famous print.

I'm yearning for a deer head bust for quite a while now. Unfortunately, others give me weird looks when I mention that. It's the same with my silver garden gnome. People just don't get it.

I didn't read the books but I love the concept of all those vampires trapped under ground for a century! Awesome.
Also.... is it just me or are the corners of Elena's mouth, like, kind of weird? It looks like the sides of her lips are sewn together for a centimeter or something. Just sayin.... She probably has other features on her face but I wouldn't know cause I can't look away.
